Shabana Azmi will soon be seen in a web series ‘Dabba Cartel’ and its trailer has been receiving a good response. The show will feature talented actors like Jyotika, Gajraj Rao, Nimisha Sajayan, Shalini Pandey, Anjali Anand, Sai Tamhankar, Jisshu Sengupta, Lillete Dubey and Bhupendra Singh Jadawat. At the trailer launch, Shabana revealed that she intially wanted to replace Jyotika in Dabba Cartel but the makers refused.
She told the media, “I tried to remove two girls from this. One of them is Jyotika. She doesn’t know about this, but I kept saying ‘yeh nahin, usko lo.’ But these guys told me, ‘Do what you want, we won’t change her.’ I am really grateful now that she’s here. Truly. It was my mistake. It would have robbed me of the pleasure of working with you.”
Dabba Cartel will focus five middle-class women as they get up into a high-stakes drug delivery operation through dabba service.
