Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs CONFIRMS Turning Down Plea Deal Offer Ahead Of Sex Trafficking Case Trails

Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs has declined a plea deal offered by prosecutors ahead of his federal sex trafficking trial.

Music entrepreneur Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs on Thursday confirmed that he has turned down a proposed plea deal presented by federal prosecutors, indicating he would battle the charges in court. The confirmation emerged during Manhattan federal court testimony in which U.S. District Judge Arun Subramanian interrogated Combs regarding the choice. Combs was directly questioned by the judge as to whether he had gone over the plea agreement and if he was sure he would not be taking it. The entrepreneur and rapper replied that he had weighed the offer but in the end decided against accepting it, leading to a trial by jury.

The federal sex trafficking case against Combs is set to go to trial next week. Prosecutors claim that Combs participated in a trafficking ring and leveraged his music industry influence to exploit victims. The specific details of the charges are under seal, but sources say the case includes multiple witnesses and years of investigation.

A Civilian Look For The Courtroom

As per reports by the U.S Mirror, “Diddy is permitted to have up to five button-down shirts, up to five pairs of pants,up to five sweaters, up to five pairs of socks and up to two pairs of shoes without laces to wear to court.” This ruling enables Diddy to appear before the court in less sensational, civilian clothes instead of jail uniforms, a gesture that is frequently allowed in celebrity cases in order to keep jury perception neutral.

Past Charges

Diddy was facing three serious federal charges which were racketeering, conspiracy and sex trafficking and transporting individuals for illegal purposes. According to the prosecutors, the new allegations basically details how combs and his associates allegedly lured women into exploitative situations under the situations. Prosecutors claim that some of these incidents took place over several years and across multiple state.
