The trailer of Sardaar Ji 3 sparked mixed reactions online after netizens saw Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. Diljit Dosanjh dropped the trailer on Instagram and revealed that the movie will only release overseas. However, the backlash came amid the tensions between India and Pakistan post-Pahalgam attack and Operation Sindoor.
Netizens called out Diljit and the makers of Sardaar Ji 3 for roping Hania Aamir for the film and deciding to release it despite the tensions between the two countries. One Reddit user wrote, “Never spoke a word during the war…now we know why…I liked him but the opinion is now changing highly.” Another netizen commented, “You can’t expect anything better from Diljit. He has always been very clear about his ideologies.” Slamming Diljit, another Reddit user wrote, “Disgusted by him. What a shameless person he is.”

Hania Aamir earlier got into a controversy after a fake post about her comments on Pahalgam attack surfaced on social media. She soon clarified the backlash over her fake statement. She wrote, “Recently, a statement has been falsely attributed to me and is being widely circulated on social media. I want to address this directly: I did not make this statement, and I do not endorse or align with the words being linked to me. It is entirely fabricated and misrepresents who I am and what I believe.”
She added, “That being said, this is a deeply sensitive and emotional time. My heart goes out to the innocent lives lost and the families affected by the recent tragedy. Pain like this is real, and it deserves empathy, not politicisation. In times like these, it’s easy to let emotions cloud our judgment, but we must remember: the actions of extremists do not represent an entire nation or its people. Assigning blame without proof only deepens divides and distracts from the real need for compassion, justice, and healing.”
Talking about Sardaar Ji 3, the movie also stars Sonam Bajwa in the lead role with Manav Vij, Gulshan Grover, Jasmin Bajwa, Sapna Pabbi in the pivotal roles.
