For those unfamiliar with their history, Kartik Aaryan and Sara Ali Khan were previously rumoured to be in a relationship during the filming of their 2020 movie, Love Aaj Kal 2. However, reports later indicated that they had parted ways. During an episode of Koffee With Karan, Sara confirmed her past relationship with Kartik when filmmaker Karan Johar raised the topic, saying, “Last time you were on this couch, you made a public announcement that you wanted to date Kartik Aaryan, and that did happen,” to which Sara responded with a “Yeah.”
Subsequently, Kartik responded to Sara’s revelation during an interview with Film Companion. When asked about his previous interviews in which he claimed to be single, he said that he has been single for the past 1.25 years and doesn’t know about anything else.
Despite their history, Kartik and Sara seem to have maintained an amicable relationship. They were recently spotted sharing a warm embrace at the screening of Gadar 2. Prior to this, they were photographed together in Udaipur, further fueling speculation about their relationship status.
