Bollywood actress Sara Ali Khan is the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and his former wife Amrita Singh. She also has a brother, actor Ibrahim Ali Khan. Recently, Sara talked about the scary knife attack on her father, calling it a life-changing event. The attack happened on January 16 at Saif’s house in Bandra. He was stabbed six times and needed immediate medical help.
In an interview with NDTV Yuva, Sara Ali Khan talked about the knife attack on her father. She said how things ‘could have gone very wrong’. Sara explained that the incident made her realize how uncertain life can be. She added that the whole family is feeling thankful.
Sara Ali Khan Talks About Her Dad Saif’s Knife Attack
Sara shared she is grateful that Saif Ali Khan recovered and everything turned out fine. She said, “It makes you realise what truly matters. The entire family only felt gratitude because it could have gone so wrong. I am so grateful that everything is fine. It was a reminder almost of the life we have. We all talk about practising mental health. Being grateful for your life is so important. And moments like that make you realise it.”
Sara Realizes Life Can Change In An Instant
Asked if the incident brought the family closer, Sara said she shares a close bond with her father. She said, “It is not about being closer. He is my father, we are as close as we can be. It did not make me realise that he is my father, it made me realise that life can change overnight. So every day deserves mindful celebration. It made me realise just being grateful.”
Saif Ali Khan’s Knife Attack
Saif was attacked in the early hours of January 16 at his home in Bandra, Mumbai. He was stabbed six times by the attacker, who was later arrested. Saif was rushed to the hospital and had spinal and plastic surgeries at Lilavati Hospital. He was discharged on January 21.
Sara Ali Khan’s Upcoming Films
Sara was last seen in ‘Sky Force’ alongside Akshay Kumar, Veer Pahariya, and Nimrat Kaur. She will next appear in Anurag Basu’s ‘Metro In Dino’. The film also stars Anupam Kher, Konkana Sen, Neena Gupta, Ali Fazal, Fatima Sana Sheikh, Pankaj Tripathi, and Aditya Roy Kapur. The film is set to release in theatres on July 4 this year.
