Sankranthiki Vasthunam Box Office Collection Day 1: Venkatesh Daggubati has returned to the big screens with his film ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ and it seems like the movie is the clear winner among the Pongal 2025 releases. Apart from Venkatesh, the movie also stars Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh in the lead roles. The movie has been receiving immense love from the audience and it is clearly reflecting in its opening day collection.

According to the website Sacnilk, ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ collected Rs 25 crore on its opening day.
The movie revolves around Raju, who is an ex-cop and takes up the investigation of a missing case. However, Raju gets caught up in a love triangle as his ex-lover Meenakshi helps him with the case and his wife Bhagyalakshmi accompanies them.

In a recent interview, director Anil Ravipudi talked about the film’s plot. He said as quoted by OTTplay, “This is a very unique action-comedy, and we’ve narrated it in a hilarious manner. The performances of Venkatesh, Meenakshi Chaudhary, and Aishwarya Rajesh will be the biggest highlights.”
Talking about the expectation of the audience, he added, “Though I am confident about my film, there’s still some nervousness. Even after giving eight blockbusters, I will be judged this Friday. As a director, I need to prove myself with every film.”
The movie saw tough competition at the box office as it clashed with ‘Game Changer’, starring Ram Charan. Despite the clash, ‘Sankranthiki Vasthunam’ has been a clear winner. However, the movie’s verdict will be seen after its further collection.
Directed by Anil Ravipudi, the movie is produced by Sri Venkateswara Creations with its music composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, cinematography by Sameer Reddy, and editing by Tammiraju.
