Former actress and Bigg Boss 6 contestant Sana Khan took to her Instagram Stories to share the heartbreaking news of her mother’s passing. In an emotional message, she wrote:
“Inna Lillahi Wa inna ilaih rajioon. My beloved mother mrs saeeda has returned back to Allah after struggling with a bad health condition. Namaz-e-Janaza will be performed at Oshiwara Qabrasthan after isha salat @ 09:45. Your prayers for my mother will be helpful.”
The funeral prayer (Namaz-e-Janaza) will be held at Oshiwara Qabrastan following the Isha prayer at 9:45 PM tonight.
Sana left the entertainment industry in 2020 to pursue a spiritual path. She has often spoken about her close bond with her mother and how she supported her decision to step away from showbiz.
Sana who was earlier known for her work in films, acted in movies in different languages. Some of her well known Hindi films are Jai Ho and Wajah Tum Ho. She also appeared in the Tamil movie Ayogya and the Telugu film Gajjala Gurram. Besides these, she had small roles in movies like E, Bombay to Goa, and Dhan Dhana Dhan Goal.
On November 21, 2020, she got married to a Muslim cleric named Mufti Anas Sayed in Surat. After her marriage, she changed her name to Saiyad Sana Khan. The couple has two children.
