Actors Samantha Ruth Prabhu and Naga Chaitanya’s divorce once again became a topic of discussion as the latter got married to Sobhita Dhulipala earlier this months. Ever since, fans have been digging out old videos of the former couple and blaming Naga for breaking Samantha’s heart. One such video, which has resurfaced, shows Samantha making a controversial remark about her relationship.
During a media interaction while promoting her show Citadel: Honey Bunny, ‘The Family Man’ actor was asked if she has ever spied in her personal life. “No, not a spy… I don’t possess those qualities (within me).” The interviewer went on to dig more and ask her if she ever tried to spy on anyone in reality. She replied, “To be a spy… In the show, I have certainly attempted that. Otherwise, no…. Looking back, I should have,” she continued.

This led to Samantha’s fans drawing connections between her statement and her highly publicized divorce from Naga Chaitanya in 2021. Things took a dramatic turn when Naga started dating actor Sobhita Dhulipala in 2022, and the two eventually tied the knot in December 2024.
Needless to say, the news of their wedding sparked a heated online debate, with many of Samantha’s fans accusing Chaitanya of moving on too quickly. The situation has left fans divided, with some defending Chaitanya’s right to move on, while others feel that he didn’t give Samantha the respect and time she deserved after their split.

Sobhita Receives Hatred
Amid this, Naga’s second wife Sobhita Dhulipala has been on the receiving end of trolling and criticism. Fans have been upset with her wedding with Naga and many also accuse her for breaking Naga’s first marriage.
After Sobhita dropped pictures of her engagement with Naga, several took the comment section and wrote hurtful remarks. Some wrote, “Samantha is far better than you” and “Samantha deserves better.” Others even went ahead accusing her of ruining a happy marriage and commented, “Naga Chaitanya lost a diamond for this rusted metal.” Another added, “I’m unfollowing you because you broke someone’s happy home.”
