Samantha Ruth Prabhu is now gearing up for the release of her web series ‘Citadel Honey Bunny’. The actress recently interacted with her fans on Instagram but was disappointed when one of her followers commented on her weight. The fan asked her to gain more weight but Samantha revealed that she is on a strict anti-inflammatory diet due to her diagnosis of auto-immune disease Myositis.
Samantha said in the video, “Another weight comment. I saw an entire thread about my weight. If you guys must know, I am on a strict anti-inflammatory diet which is required for my condition which prevents me from putting on weight, keeps in a certain weight bracket and keeps me in a sweet spot with my condition (myositis). Stop judging people. Let them be, live and let live. Please guys, it’s 2024.”
The comment read, “Please Ma’am gain some weight. Please go on bulking.”
Samantha revealed being diagnosed with Myositis in October 2022. She wrote in her Instagram post, “A few months back I was diagnosed with an autoimmune condition called Myositis. I was hoping to share this after it had gone into remission. But it is taking a little longer than I hoped. I am slowly realising that we don’t always need to put up a strong front. Accepting this vulnerability is something that I am still struggling with. The doctors are confident that I will make a complete recovery very soon. I have had good days and bad days…. physically and emotionally…. and even when it feels like I can’t handle one more day of this, somehow that moment passes. I guess it can only mean that I am one more day closer to recovery.”
On the work front, Samantha will next star in the web series ‘Citadel Honey Bunny’ along with Varun Dhawan. The series will release on Prime Video on November 7.
