Salman Khan’s Ex-Girlfriend Somy Ali Reveals Reason For Approaching Lawrence Bishnoi

Somy Ali recently requested Lawrence Bishnoi for a zoom call from jail and also expressed her wish to visit Bishnoi's sacred temple in Rajasthan

Actress Somy Ali’s open letter to Lawrence Bishnoi, who threatened to kill Salman Khan, recently went viral on social media. In the letter on Instagram, Somy Ali addressed Bishnoi as her brother and requested a Zoom call from jail and a personal meeting. This led to speculation that she is seeking revenge. However, Somy clarified to Times Now that she wanted to meet Lawrence and Devendra Bishnoi to apologise on Salman Khan’s behalf. The Instagram post has now been deleted.

Speaking to Times Now, Somy said, “I approached Mr Devendra Bishnoi and I said, ‘On behalf of Salman (Khan), I would like to apologise, I would like to come to Rajasthan and meet with you. I would like to come to your temple and conduct a prayer. And I would like to also, on behalf of Salman whom I’m barely in touch with, like to apologise because this incident happened when I was in India in 1998.”

The feud between Lawrence Bishnoi and Salman Khan began in 1998 when the Bollywood actor was accused of hunting black bucks during the shoot of Hum Saath Saath Hain. Lawrence demanded an apology from Salman for hurting their religious sentiments as black bucks are sacred to the Bishnoi community.

The ongoing feud further escalated when Salman Khan’s close friend and NCP leader Baba Siddique was shot dead outside his brother’s office on October 12 in Mumbai. Hours later, a Bishnoi gang member claimed responsibility for this incident citing Baba Siddique’s association with Salman Khan. He also warned that anyone protecting Salman would face the same fate.

Amid this, a traffic police officer also received a message, allegedly from a Bishnoi gang member, demanding ₹5 crore to end the feud with Lawrence Bishnoi. However, police are investigating the message’s authenticity as Lawrence Bishnoi previously stated that the issue was about community sentiments and religious beliefs, not money.

Looking at the issues intensifying with every passing day, Salman’s security has been beefed up and all measures are being taken to ensure his safety at all times.

Somy Ali’s Now Deleted Post

Taking to her Instagram handle, Somy had posted a picture of Lawrence alongside a long note. Addressing Lawrence as her brother, she wrote, “This is a direct message to Lawrence Bishnoi. Hello, Lawrence brother, I have heard and also seen that you are making zoom calls from jail as well, so I want to talk to you. Please let me know how this can happen?”

She further shared her wish to visit Bishnoi’s sacred temple and meet Lawrence in person. “Rajasthan is my favourite place in the whole world. I want to come to your temple for worship, but let’s have a zoom call first and we can have some more talks after the worship. Believe me, these talks are for your benefit. It will be a great favour if you can share your mobile number. Thank you,” she added.
