New Delhi: Salman Khan and his wedding has long been a “hot subject” in Bollywood. The 57-year-old actor is still single despite having been in several romances that didn’t lead to marriage.

The celebrity routinely makes jokes about his marriage these days, declaring that he will never get married. Nevertheless, did you realise that this lone wolf wasn’t always this way? The actor had a dream to wed a famous woman while he was in his 20s. That’s not Aishwarya Rai, either!

When Salman Khan proposed Juhi Chawla

In this old video of Salman Khan, he confessed his desire to marry Juhi Chawla! The video is a part of an old interview given by the actor in 1991. When asked about Juhi, Salman refers to her as “an adorable girl.” Salman then said that he sent a marriage proposal to her father, but he rejected it. “I don’t fit the bill, I guess,” said Bhaijaan.

In December 1995, Juhi Chawla married businessman Jay Mehta.

Surprisingly, Salman and Juhi have never collaborated before. According to rumours, Juhi’s father asked her not to work with Salman after his blunt proposal. Salman did, however, appear in the 1997 film Deewana Mastana alongside Juhi Chawla, Anil Kapoor, and Govinda. While Salman’s wish was not granted in real life, it was granted in the film when he eventually married Juhi.
