Bollywood star Salman Khan’s safety is under threat again after Mumbai’s traffic control room received a menacing message Thursday midnight. The threat referenced a song that allegedly mentions both Salman Khan and notorious gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. A case has been registered against an unknown person by Worli police in Mumbai.
The messaged received warned that the songwriter behind the track will face severe consequences within a month. The message reads: “The songwriter’s condition will be such that he will no longer be able to write songs. If Salman Khan has the courage, he should save them.”
This comes a day after Mumbai police arrested 32-year-old man named Bhikha Ram for allegedly sending threatening message for Salman. When inquired, Bhikharam did not give a clear reason, however, police in their statement stated that, “It appears that he sent the message for fun and there is no serious threat involved.”
Another police source told PTI, “The accused was watching a regional news channel when he suddenly called the Mumbai Police control room and issued a death threat to Salman Khan. He is a daily wage worker and claims to be a fan of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. This is his version, but his detailed interrogation and further investigation will be conducted by the Mumbai Police.”
Meanwhile, Salman’s friend and colleague Shah Rukh Khan also received a threat on November 5 over a call made to Bandra Police Station. The accused, who was later identified as Faizan Khan from Raipur, threatened to kill Shah Rukh and also demanded a ransom on Rs 50 lakh. After the arrest, Faizan informed police that his phone was stolen on November 2, following which an unknown caller made threatening calls from his number.
