New Delhi: The Kajol-starring film Salaam Venky did not do well at the box office on its first day. The movie, which debuted on December 9, is having trouble drawing audiences to the theatres. As a result, it barely makes any money at the ticket counters.
Even though Salaam Venky has been in theatres for almost a week, he has yet to earn even Rs 5 crore. Vishal Jethwa plays the lead in this Revathy-directed film. A terminally ill boy’s mother is the focus of Salaam Venky’s deeply poignant storyline. The movie, which was based on actual events, discussed euthanasia.
Box Office Collection
In the film, Kajol plays the mother of a son with Duchenne muscular dystrophy who is 24 years old. Since it has barely made any money since its premiere, the movie has failed to find an audience. The film’s single-day revenue on Day 5, December 13, was just Rs 25 lakh, hence the current total collection is just Rs 2.85 crore. There is fierce competition from other big releases for Salaam Venky.
