New Delhi: After considerable anticipation, Salaam Venky, Kajol’s most recent movie, opened in theatres on December 9. The movie, which discusses the serious issue of Duchenne muscular dystrophy, didn’t appear to hit home with the audience. The box office results demonstrate that the film was unable to get audiences to the theatres.
Box Office Collection
On December 9, Revathy’s Salaam Venky stars Kajol in the lead role and hits theatres. According to trade reports, the movie, which is in fierce competition with other movies like Drishyam 2 starring Ajay Devgn, managed to collect Rs 0.60 at the domestic box office. It appears that the emotional drama of a mother’s bond with her son failed to impress the moviegoers. To perform well at the box office and make the cash registers ring, the movie has to gather up steam over the weekends.
About Salaam Venky
Shraddha Agrawal and Suraj Singh are Salaam Venky’s financiers. Mithoon wrote the music. Rahul Bose, Rajeev Khandelwal, and Prakash Raj are also featured in the movie. In the movie, Aamir Khan makes a notable cameo.
Salaam Venky is a brilliantly produced dark film even though it doesn’t always hit the proper notes. The movie, which is based on Shrikant Murthy’s novel The Last Hurrah, tackles the serious issue of euthanasia, which is simply defined as the deliberate taking of a person’s life to relieve them of their suffering.
