Sakamoto Days Recap:
In the first episode, the viewers witnessed the backstory of Taro Sakamoto and how he was the most feared assassin of all time. He gave up his job after falling in love and is now a doting husband and father. Shin Asakura, who was Taro’s junior, is assigned to kill him as it is against to rules to leave the assassins’ job. Asakura’s attempt to kill Taro remains unsuccessful and he changes his mind after seeing Taro’s beautiful family.
Even though Sakamoto has transformed into a plus-size man after many years, he has not lost touch with his skills and successfully rescues Asakura from being killed by other assassins. The episode ends with Asakura now working with Sakamoto at his convenience store.
‘Sakamoto Days’ is divided into two parts with its second part scheduled to release in July 2025. The anime is based on the manga of the same name, written and illustrated by Yuto Suzuki. While expressing his gratitude towards fans, Suzuki told Netflix, “I want to express my gratitude to the fans, whose support made all of this possible.
