Aneet Padda and Ahaan Panday are the current obsessions of Gen Z with their movie ‘Saiyaara’. These newcomers have accomplished what other big Bollywood movies struggled to achieve in the past few years. The romance flick has already crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India and has now surpassed Rs 200 crore worldwide. Amid the massive success of ‘Saiyaara’, there has been a lot of speculation regarding its OTT release.
Saiyaara OTT Release Update:
‘Saiyaara’ will release on Netflix after its theatrical run, which was revealed at the start of the movie. After the unexpected yet massive success, the makers have reportedly decided to delay the OTT release of ‘Saiyaara’. According to ETimes, Mohit Suri’s directorial is now likely to follow the 90-day OTT window and may release on Netflix around Diwali 2025.
About Saiyaara:
Apart from Ahaan and Aneet, the movie also stars Alam Khan, Geeta Agarwal, Rajesh Kumar, Varun Badola, Shaad Randhawa, Sid Makkar, Shaan Groverr, and Neil Dutta. The plot focuses on Krish, a budding singer, and Vaani, a lyricist, and how their friendship soon turns into love.
While speaking to Dainik Bhaskar, director Mohit Suri revealed why he decided to cast Ahaan and Aneet in ‘Saiyaara’ instead of any other big star. He said, “I had immersed myself so much into the story that I spoke to a few actor friends of mine saying, ‘Can you do a love story for me? Do it for me.’ And they had said yes too. But when I met Adi sir, he questioned me why I wanted to make this film with those actors. Honestly, this is the company that has access to all the biggest stars in this country. He said we can work with everyone but this story requires actors who are 20-25, all these other actors are in their 30s, touching 40.”
‘Saiyaara’ marks the acting debut of Ahaan Panday. Aneet Padda has worked in several advertisements and also starred in a web series called ‘Big Girl Don’t Cry’ before bagging this film. She also worked in ‘Salaam Venky’ with Kajol.
