Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was allegedly attacked at his Mumbai residence by an unidentified individual, who breached the security of his luxury apartment in Bandra and stabbed him with a knife early Thursday morning. This incident raises serious concerns about the security measures in place.
Thereafter, Saif underwent a surgery at Lilavati Hospital and is now out of danger, according to his doctors. According to the Mumbai Crime Branch, the attacker got the access to Saif’s building by climbing the walls of a neighboring building.
Saif Ali Khan: Why Is His Bandra Home Special?
According to media reports, Saif lives in a luxurious apartment called ‘Satguru Sharan’ in Bandra West, located on the 7th floor of a 12-story building. Attacker stabbed Saif in this home only. He purchased the property from Satguru Builders in 2012 for a whopping Rs 23.50 crore, reports further said. This special abode of Saif and his wife, Kareena, boasts an impressive layout, featuring 5 spacious bedrooms, a gym, a music room, and 6 expansive terrace balconies, as per the reports.
According to reports, Saif’s luxurious abode, spans over 6,508 square feet in carpet area, and comes with a convenient 4-car parking facility. Furthermore, he paid a substantial stamp duty of Rs 1.17 crore and a registration fee of Rs 30,000 for this home. As per the reports, the building is also home to other prominent residents, including a senior banker and the CEO of a non-banking financial institution.
According to reports, the price per square foot in Bandra West ranges from Rs 50,000 to Rs 55,000. However, the building where Saif resides comes with a more premium rate of around Rs 70,000 per square foot. According to reports, Prior to moving into this house, Saif and his wife Kareena Kapoor lived in Fortune Heights, another Bandra-based property which he purchased in 2013 for Rs 48 crore.
