There has been a significant update in the Saif Ali Khan stabbing incident, where the Bandra police in Mumbai have filed a 1000-page long chargesheet in the Metropolitan Magistrate Court against the accused. This includes significant evidence against Shariful Islam.
What Happened
In Mumbai, Saif Ali Khan was stabbed by a burglar at his residence on January 16, 2025. When this burglary incident took place, the accused tried to cause harm to the female employees present in the room of Jeh’s. This led Saif to rush towards his son’s room for their protection, where the intruder attacked him six times with the knife. The severely injured actor is now back to work after surgery and is medicated at Lilavati Hospital.
Case Update
At present, the police have arrested the accused, Shariful Islam, who is from Bangladesh. According to the ANI report, the Mumbai police have submitted a 1,000-page chargesheet against the accused.
“This chargesheet includes several pieces of evidence found by the police against the arrested accused, Shariful Islam. This chargesheet is more than 1000 pages long. The report of the forensic lab has also been mentioned in this chargesheet, which states that the knife pieces found at the crime scene, from Saif Ali Khan’s body and from the accused, are three pieces of the same knife,” said the Mumbai Police.
The police have also said that the fingerprint report from the accused’s left hand, found during the investigation, has been included.
Saif Speaks
Saif revealed some information about the incident while interviewed by the Delhi Times about his take on actually surviving after this horrible experience. He added, “It’s beyond. I don’t know what it is. It feels like incredibly lucky. A friend of mine said – ‘Let’s say, you were forced to roll a deadly dice. And you rolled a six.’ I think that’s a good way of putting it because I didn’t want to roll this dice. But it’s like you roll any other number and you’re dead.”
