Saif Ali Khan Stabbing Case: The auto-rickshaw driver, who took the injured Saif Ali Khan to the hospital, has been awarded money for his act. For the unversed, the ‘Omkara’ actor was attacked by an intruder at his home on January 16 and sustained six stab wounds. While speaking to IANS, auto-rickshaw driver Bhajan Singh shared that he felt very proud.
As per IANS, Bhajan Singh has been awarded Rs 11000 of prize money for his act by a social worker named Faizan Ansari. He told IANS, “I feel very proud because I never imagined something like this would happen in my life. This recognition has brought me immense joy…”
Mumbai, Maharashtra: Bhajan Singh Rana, an auto-rickshaw driver who helped actor Saif Ali Khan reach the hospital, was honored by a social worker named Faizan Ansari with a cash reward of ₹11,000.

The actor was admitted to Lilavati Hospital in Mumbai and the doctors later issued an official statement regarding his health. Dr Nitin Dange, Chief Neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital Mumbai, told the media, “Saif Ali Khan is better now. We made him walk, and he walked well. Looking at his parameters, his wounds and all the other injuries, he is safe to be shifted out of the ICU. He has to take several precautions. He has to take rest and his movement has been restricted for a week.”
Calling the actor a ‘hero’, Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, added, “Saif Ali Khan is a real hero. He is doing well. He has been shifted from the ICU to a normal room.”
“He is very fortunate. If a knife was 2 mm deeper, he would have sustained a serious injury,” he revealed.
Earlier, Kareena Kapoor reportedly told the police that Saif Ali Khan was attacked while he was trying to save his kids. She reportedly told the police, “Saif was the first to intervene and prevented the attacker from reaching Jeh. The women and children were moved to the 12th floor for their safety. After the incident, Kareena’s sister, Karisma Kapoor, took Kareena and the children to her home for safety, while Saif was quickly taken to Lilavati Hospital for medical attention.”
“The attacker was aggressive. I saw him attack Saif repeatedly…Our priority was to take Saif to the hospital. After the attack, I was terrified, so Karisma took me to her house.” she added.
Meanwhile, Mumbai Police have arrested the prime accused, Vijay Das, in connection with the stabbing case. Das, who has been identified as 30-year-old Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad, confessed to the crime.
