Saif Ali Khan has finally been discharged from the hospital five days after he was attacked by an intruder at his home. He has decided to heighten the security of his house after the horrifying incident and has employed actor Ronit Roy’s security firm. Ronit Roy was also clicked outside Saif Ali Khan’s house after he got discharged.
Meanwhile, while speaking to Hindustan Times, Ronit revealed that Saif Ali Khan is doing fine now. He said, “We are already here with Saif. He is doing fine now, and has come back.”
Saif Ali Khan also waved to fans after he was discharged. Saif wore a white shirt and blue denim jeans as he walked out of the hospital. He was surrounded by policemen as they accompanied him. For the unversed, the actor sustained six stab wounds and two of them were serious.
Mumbai Police on Sunday morning arrested Mohammad Shariful Islam Shehzad in connection with the case. According to Zone 9 DCP Dixit Gedam, Shariful Islam Shehzad is a 31-year-old Bangladeshi National who entered India with a fake name – ‘Vijay Das’.
He was admitted to Lilavati Hospital. While talking about Saif’s health, Dr Nitin Dange, Chief Neurosurgeon at Lilavati Hospital, Mumbai, told the media, “Saif Ali Khan is better now. We made him walk, and he walked well. Looking at his parameters, his wounds and all the other injuries, he is safe to be shifted out of the ICU. He has to take several precautions. He has to take rest and his movement has been restricted for a week.”
Calling the actor a ‘hero’, Niraj Uttamani, Chief Operating Officer of Lilavati Hospital, added, “Saif Ali Khan is a real hero. He is doing well. He has been shifted from the ICU to a normal room.”
“He is very fortunate. If a knife was 2 mm deeper, he would have sustained a serious injury,” he revealed.
Meanwhile, the auto rickshaw driver, who took Saif Ali Khan to the hospital, has reportedly been awarded Rs 11000 for his act by a social worker named Faizan Ansari.
