The untimely demise of Rohan Mirchandani, CEO and co-founder of Epigamia, has shocked everyone. The news was confirmed by the company in a joint statement and Epigamia will now work under the leadership of co-founders Ankur Goel and Uday Thakkar. Epigamia became a well known brand in the yougurt industry in India and its success is an inspiration for many. For the unversed, Bollywood actress Deepika Padukone also invested in Epigamia’s parent company Drum Foods International Pvt. Ltd in 2019.
Deepika Padukone’s Investment In Epigamia:
Deepika Padukone made the investment in Epigamia through KA Enterprises Llp, her strategic initiative arm. While talking about the Piku star’s investment, Rohan Mirchandani had said, “Her (Padukone’s) involvement will accelerate the pace of reach for our products.”
“We have so far not done too much mass media advertisements. But on the basis of our association with Padukone, we are now looking forward to elevating the brand to the next dimension,” he further added.
Deepika later appeared in several advertisements for Epigamia as well.

Rohan Mirchandani reportedly held approximately a 4.68% stake in Epigamia. According to Inc42, Epigamia’s sales crossed the INR 150 Cr mark in the financial year ended March 31, 2023.

After Mirchandani’s demise, the spokesperson of the parent company Drums Food International Ltd. said in a statement, “All of us at the Epigamia family will deeply mourn this loss. We remain steadfast in our determination to carry forward his dream with strength and vigor. The senior leadership of Epigamia, led by Ankur Goel (COO & Founding Member) and Uday Thakker (Cofounder & Director), continues to steer the company’s day-to-day operations with the full support of the board of directors, including Rohan’s family.”
Talking about Epigamia, the company offers a variety of products including yogurt, curd, beverages, milkshakes, smoothies, kheer, and Mishti Doi.
