The film depicts the great Maratha emperor Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, an Indian ruler from the Bhonsle dynasty. Shivaji was the founder of the Maratha Empire, which later evolved into the Maratha Confederacy.

A new period drama that aims to be a major production is being created in India. Siddharth-Garima is writing the script. Prasoon Joshi will write the lyrics, and Ravi Varman will handle the cinematography. Resul Pookutty is responsible for the sound design. The most anticipated film is set to hit the theatres in January 2027.
