Arbaaz Patel has faced criticism for his overprotective behaviour towards Dhanashree Verma inside Rise and Fall. To back him up, his girlfriend and reality TV star Nikki Tamboli recently entered the house, leaving Arbaaz emotional and in tears upon seeing her.
In a video shared by Nikki on Instagram, she consoles Arbaaz, saying, “Baby kya hoh gaya? Mummy, papa, and dadi sab bohot zyada proud hai. Number 1 khiladi agar koi hai toh woh sirf aur airf Arbaaz Patel. Nobody can beat you or your game. Yeh mei khule aam bolti hu. Jhuko baar baar jhuko. Jhukne se ensaan bada hota hai. Mere liye aap mere hoh. Aap koi aire gaire nai hoh jinke liye mei stand le lu.”
Alongside the clip, Nikki wrote in the caption, “Some partners lift trophies, the best ones lift you — in every game and every moment having someone who supports you behind your back and showers love is rare.”

Speaking to The Times of India, Nikki explained, “Arbaaz comes from a reserved background. He hasn’t been around girls who hug so closely, so his reaction came from a place of concern, not discomfort. He was just being protective and caring at that moment.”
She further clarified that Arbaaz’s intentions were genuine, “He was simply trying to look out for her. People need to understand his nature before jumping to conclusions.” Her statement aimed to clear misconceptions among viewers and fellow contestants.
What Sparked the Controversy?
The tension began when Arbaaz questioned Dhanashree about hugging male contestants like Arjun and Aarush, expressing his discomfort: “Tum kya seedha jakar hug karti ho? Arjun ko, Aarush ko? (Why do you directly hug Arjun or Aarush or others?).”
