The sudden demise of Bollywood actor Mukul Dev came as a shock to his fans and well wishers. The cause of his death is not disclosed yet. The late actor’s colleagues took to their social media to express their grief on this tragic and remembered the time they spent with him. Mukul Dev had a successful career in the showbiz and made his film debut in 1996.
Did you know that Mukul Dev made his big debut in films with Sushmita Sen? The two made their debut together in the 1996 thriller film called ‘Dastak’. Directed by Mahesh Bhatt, the movie is produced by Mukesh Bhatt with the script written by Vikram Bhatt. Mukul Dev played the role of ACP Rohit Malhotra in Dastak, who was seen as Sushmita Sen’s love interest.
The news of Mukul Dev’s death was confirmed by his friend and actor Vindhu Dara Singh. Talking about Mukul Dev’s sudden demise, Vindhu told India Today, “After his parent’s death, Mukul was keeping to himself. He would even step out of the house or meet anyone. His health deteriorated in the last few days and he was in the hospital. My condolences to his brother and everyone who knew and loved him. He was an amazing person, and we will all miss him.”

Manoj Bajpayee also shared his grief and penned a heartfelt note for Mukul Dev. He wrote on X, “It’s impossible to put into words what I’m feeling. Mukul was a brother in spirit, an artist whose warmth and passion were unmatched. Gone too soon, too young. Praying for strength and healing for his family and everyone grieving this loss. Miss you meri jaan…until we meet again, Om Shanti.”
Mukul Dev starred in many popular films like ‘Son Of Sardaar’, ‘Yamla Pagla Deewana’, ‘R…Rajkumar’, ‘Creature 3D’, ‘Jai Ho’, ‘Omerta’ and many more. He also worked in many popular television shows like ‘Kutumb’, ‘Kumkum’ and several others. Mukul also won Indian Telly Award for the Best Actor In A Negative Role for his role in ’21 Sarfarosh – Saragarhi 1897′.
