Ali and Richa’s wedding announcement was a treat to their massive fanbase. Ahead of their wedding, the couple announced their wedding in the sweetest way possible and shared a ‘thank you’ message for their well-wishers.
“Two years ago we formalised our union and just then the pandemic hit us all. Pressed pause on all our celebrations and life. Like the rest of the nation, we too were struck by personal tragedies one after the other And now, as we all enjoy this window of respite, we are finally celebrating with our families and friends and are so very touched and grateful for all the blessings that are coming our way.”
The pair flew to Lucknow, where Ali’s family threw an evening reception to welcome Richa. The evening opened with a Qawwali performance by the Rajasthani Sabri Brothers. The decor was in compliment to the Awadhi Lucknowi culture with golden custom-made drapes, chandelier candle holders. The food was meticulously prepared by Lebua, a heritage family run hotel in the centre of Lucknow with special dishes being prepared by Mahmoodabadi, another traditional family run catering company that honours cuisine peculiar to the region.
