Tamil actor Suriya is back with an exciting project ‘Retro’, which is directed by filmmaker Karthik Subbaraj. The movie also stars Pooja Hegde in the pivotal role. The makers have dropped the exciting trailer of Retro, which is slated to release in theatres on May 1, 2025.

In the trailer, Suriya is seen as a man on a path to violence But he falls in love and decides to change his ways but his violent life keeps coming back.

Earlier, the teaser of Retro also created excitement and gave a glimpse of Suriya’s character. In the teaser, Suriya and Pooja are seen sitting together on stairs. He said in the video, “I will control my temper. Will quit working with my father. Violence, rowdyism, and hooliganism… will quit everything from this moment. Will try to smile and be happy. The purpose of my birth, in your language, my Dhammam, is love. Pure love. That’s it. I’m saying it cut and right. Now, tell me, should we get married?”

Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the movie also stars Joju George, Jayaram and Karunakaran.

On the work front, Suriya was last seen in the movie ‘Kanguva’ but it did not work well at the box office. The movie also starred Bobby Deol, Disha Patani, Natty Subramaniam, K. S. Ravikumar, Yogi Babu, Redin Kingsley, Kovai Sarala, Ravi Raghavendra and Karunas.
