New Delhi: Ranveer Singh received critical acclaim for his portrayal in Zoya Akhtar’s Gully Boy. Divine and Naezy, two rappers, influenced his character. The actor delivered an outstanding performance, even rapping in the film, which left everyone speechless.
But, it appears that he has a long way to go before he can call himself a rapper! The actor attempted to demonstrate his rhyming skills once more in the NBA locker room, but it appears to have backfired, and netizens are not pleased!
Ranveer Singh turns rapper in the NBA locker room
In a video posted by Hasan Minhaj, Ranveer Singh can be seen rapping in the NBA locker room alongside Simu Liu, who plays the lead in Shang Chi. On camera, Minhaj exhorts his teammates to put Singh in the lead position “on behalf of the 4.561 billion people of Asia.”

He posted the video with the caption, “Tried to get my man @ranveersingh on the scoreboard. Tried to get him a record deal. Failed at both (sic)”
Fans Disappointed
Fans are obviously not at bit impressed with Singh’s rap. They are criticising the Cirkus actor, using terms like “cringe” and “wannabe.” One user wrote, “Never let him rap again(sic)” Another commented, “Ranveer setting us back 100 years with each sentence (sic)” Another comment read, “From F1 to premier league to the US , this man just continues to embarrass every Indian with his wannabe efforts.(sic)”
