Ranveer Singh is gearing up for an action packed 2026, with multiple projects lined up. He already has Dhurandhar and Don 3 on his slate, and earlier reports suggested that he is in talks with director Jai Mehta for a zombie themed film, with plans to take it on floors in 2026.
In a recent update, Pinkvilla reported that Ranveer and Jai Mehta have tentatively finalized a title for this post-apocalyptic zombie film. The film will be produced by Applause Entertainment, and the pre-production work is on.
According to Pinkvilla, the film has been tentatively titled Pralay. A source explains, “Ranveer Singh’s next is tentatively titled Pralay. The title is in sync with the world of the film, which is hit by an unexpected disaster – both natural and mad-made. While the world of Pralay is unlike anything seen before, the film is more of a human story based on how far can a man go to save his family in the most difficult circumstances.”

The source adds that the plan is to start shooting in the second half of 2026, once Ranveer wraps up Don 3. “Ranveer is expected to start shooting for the Jai Mehta film from the second half of 2026 once he wraps up shooting for Don 3. It’s a film that requires prolonged pre-production, as the makers will be aiming to create a complete new world. The tone of the film is on the lines of World War Z and I Am A Legend, where the leading man has to fight multiple evils for the sake of his family,” the insider shared. The female lead is yet to be finalized, with the makers looking for a top A-list actress.
Meanwhile, Ranveer is currently wrapping up his shoot for Dhurandhar and Don 3 is expected to go on floors by the end of October. Pinkvilla earlier reported that Ranveer will begin his preparations for the film from late October. “Ranveer begins his prep work for Don 3 from the end of October, with the intent of starting shoot from the month of January. He will be having script reading sessions with Farhan, and also work with the action team. Big action sequences are being planned with Ranveer,” the source informed.
