Ranveer Singh Owes His Debut Preparation To THIS Unexpected Bollywood Star

Before his own rise to fame, this famous actor helped Ranveer Singh prepare for his debut in Band Baaja Baaraat.

Before becoming a household name with Gangs of Wasseypur, this actor has spent years while working behind the camera. Not only this but as per the recent revelations he also once trained Ranveer Singh for his debut film, Band Baaja Baaraat, 2010.

Yes, you guessed it right! The actor was none other than ‘ Nawazuddin Siddiqui’. In a candid chat with Pinkvilla, Nawazuddin confirmed about being the coach to Ranveer Singh. He said, “Kuch waqt ke liye kiya tha (I did for some time).”

Ranveer Singh Trained Under Nawazuddin Before Entering Bollywood

Ranveer Singh who is now known for his energetic and action packed performances, started his career with rom-com, Band Baaja Baaraat, which became commercial box office success. So, behind the camera Nawazuddin was the one helping him preparing for the role and guided him through acting workshops and training sessions.

Recalling the time, Nawazuddin said, “I had become someone who would conduct workshops for actors. If someone wanted to get launched, I was the go-to person.” Despite this, Nawazuddin was very clear in stating that he doesn’t owe any credits for what Ranveer is today. He explained: “Acting can’t be taught. It’s not a magic formula. You have to find it in yourself. You can be shown the path, but you must walk it yourself.”
