After the grand success of Dhurandhar, there is a curiosity among fans regarding Ranveer Singh’s upcoming project. He was supposed to start shooting for his next film, ‘Don 3’ with Farhan Akhtar. However, Don 3 has reportedly been pushed again as the actor does not want to do back-to-back gangster films.
According to a report by Pinkvilla, Ranveer will start working on Pralay, which is a zombie film. He has reportedly prioritised other projects over Don 3.
While talking about the development, a source said, “With Dhurandhar’s massive success, Ranveer is very clear about the kind of films he wants to do next. He is keen to collaborate with filmmakers like Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Lokesh Kanagaraj, and Atlee, and at the same time, he doesn’t want to be seen in back-to-back gangster films, especially since Dhurandhar is already established in that space. That’s one of the reasons he has asked Jai Mehta to prepone the shoot of Pralay. Ranveer is keen on fast-tracking the project and bringing it on floors sooner than planned.”
“Now that he has prioritised other projects over Don 3, Singh is now personally involved in aligning dates and schedules for Jai Mehta’s film to ensure the film moves quickly,” the source added.
Revealing the update on Don 3, the source further revealed, “Right after the release of Dhurandhar, Ranveer was scheduled to begin preparations for Don 3. However, given the current situation, the film is now pushed.”
Don 3 also stars Kriti Sanon in the lead role. Earlier, Kiara Advani was roped in as female lead but she left the project.
Coming back to Dhurandhar, the movie will return with a sequel on March 19, 2026. It also stars Akshaye Khanna, R Madhavan, Arjun Rampal, Sanjay Dutt and Sara Arjun in the lead roles.
