Popular YouTuber Ranveer Allahbadia has been involved in a controversy after his offensive comments at comedian Samay Raina’s show India’s Got Latent. According to reports, Ranveer has been losing followers on Instagram due to this controversy. Amid the backlash, Virat Kohli and Yuvraj Singh reportedly unfollowed Ranveer as well on Instagram.

Ranveer and Virat Kohli have met on a few occasions and the YouTuber earlier shared pictures with him as well. However, Virat follows other popular social media personalities including comedian Abhishek Upmanyu and Mallika Dua.

Yuvraj Singh earlier appeared on Ranveer’s podcast and talked about his life. He has also reportedly unfollowed him.

About The Controversy:

India’s Got Latent is hosted by comedian Samay Raina and YouTubers Ranveer Allahbadia, Ashish Chanchlani and social media influencer Apoorva Makhija were the guests in the latest episode. The backlash was caused due to Ranveer’s question for one contestant as he said, “Watch your parents have sex every day for the rest of your life. Or would you join in once and stop it forever?” Later, Apoorva also asked, “have you ever seen v*?”

These comments caused huge backlash , which led to complaints being filed against the show. The complaint has also been filed with the Mumbai Commissioner and Maharashtra Women’s Commission for allegedly using abusive language on the show and strict action has been demanded against Ranveer, Apoorva and Samay and the organisers of India’s Got Latent. All Indian Cine Workers’ Associations (AICWA) wrote a letter to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw, demanding a ban on ‘India’s Got Latent’ and legal action against its creators.

Ranveer later apologised for his inappropriate remarks and removed all the posts with Samay Raina. The comedian has deleted all the videos of India’s Got Latent and said that this incident has been ‘too much’ for him to handle. He also added that he will cooperate with all the inquiries.
