Actors Randeep Hooda ties knot with his long time girlfriend Lin Laishramin in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony at Chumthang Shannapung resort in Imphal today. The couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony attended only by family and close friends. A video of the wedding has surfaced online shows the wedding rituals being performed during the ceremony.

Fans were eagerly awaiting to get the first glimpse of the wedding attires of Randeep and Lin. Randeep donned an all-white Manipuri attire and made a grand entrance to the wedding venue. While, Lin adorned a traditional Manipuri bridal attire, wearing Potloi or Polloi, a cylindrical skirt crafted from sturdy bamboo and thick fabric.
Recently, Randeep had expressed his eagerness for the cultural exchange. He had said that he felt, it’s only respectful to come and marry in the bride’s tradition. He later humorously acknowledged the unique tradition and aspect of Meitei love marriages, in which the groom must endure a prolonged sitting.

He also shared the story of how he met his wife Lin. He said that they’ve been friends for a very long time. They met at a theatre. Since then, they’ve had a great friendship, which they are now turning into a family. Lin also said that they actually met at Naseeruddin Shah’s theatre group called Motley and Randeep was her senior. They were friends and it’s turning into a beautiful journey.
