Actor Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram tied the knot in a traditional Meitei wedding ceremony at Chumthang Shannapung in Imphal on Wednesday. People were eagerly waiting to get the first glimpse of the actor’s wedding. Hours after the wedding, Randeep took to social media and shared the first official pictures from the wedding ceremony.
Sharing a series of pictures from the wedding ceremony, he wrote, ‘From today, We are One’. Randeep donned an all-white Manipuri attire during the ceremony while, Lin adorned a traditional Manipuri bridal dress, called Potloi or Polloi. The couple got married in an intimate wedding ceremony which was attended only by family and some close friends.

Earlier, while speaking with ANI Randeep had talked about getting married in a traditional Manipuri wedding. He said “It feels very good. I felt that it’s only respectful to come and marry in the bride’s tradition. Though I have heard that in Meitei love marriages, the groom has to sit for a very long time. So, that’s something but I am looking forward to the ceremony and traditions. I want to experience my life partner’s culture. That’s why I am here.”

He also revealed how he met Lin for the first time. He said they met at a theatre. Since then, they’ve had a great friendship, which they are now turning into a family.
The couple had announced their wedding by sharing a statement on social media, which read “Taking a leaf out of the Mahabharata where Arjuna married Manipuri Warrior Princess Chitrangada, We are getting married with the blessings of our families and friends. As we embark on this journey, we seek your blessings and love for this union of cultures, for which we are forever indebted and grateful.”
