2023 blockbuster Animal, starring Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna, took the industry by storm after it’s release. While many appreciated the movie for taking the entertainment quotient of Bollywood films a notch higher, many criticized it for the problematic character played by lead actors. Irrespective of the opinions, everyone has been excited about its second instalment.
So here’s the good news! Ranbir opened up about the sequel to blockbuster film as well as the third instalment being planned during an interview with Deadline Studio at the International Film Festival.
When the interviewer asked about shooting schedule of Animal 3, the actor replied: “The director is making another film right now, so we should start that film in 2027. It’s a bit away.”
He further added that he (the director Vanga) wants to make it in 3 parts; the second part is called Animal Park. “We have been sharing ideas from the first film itself, how we want to take this story forward, it’s very exciting because now I get to play two characters, the antagonists and the protagonist. It is extremely exciting project and extremely original director and very excited to be a part of it.”
The interviewer then appreciated him for his role in the movie, to which he replied: “But I think he just kinda flirted with what he wants to do with the movie.” Animal Park will see Triptii Dimri, Saurabh Sachdeva and Mansi Taxak reprising their roles from the first film.

In the same interview, Ranbir also spilled beans about the much-awaited film Brahmastra Part 2, where he confirmed that his wife Alia Bhatt, will taking the franchise forward along with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh.
In the first part, The son of a wealthy, powerful industrialist returns to India. He undergoes a remarkable transformation as he becomes consumed by a quest for vengeance against those threatening his father’s life. Ranbir Kapoor played the role of Ranvijay Singh alongside Tripti Dimri as Zoya Riaz and Rashmika Mandanna as Geetanjali. Bobby Deol left everyone speechless with his comeback, and he played the role of Abrar Haque, a dumb man.
