New Delhi: Brahmastra is undoubtedly one of the highest-budget films of the year. The Ayan Mukerji directorial featured Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor in the lead roles. The movie also featured Amitabh Bachchan, Mouni Roy, and Nagarjuna in pivotal roles. Brahmastra also surprised people with Shah Rukh Khan’s cameo as Vanar Astra.
Now there were certain reports which stated that Brahmastra was mounted on a budget of Rs 410 cr. Later reports claimed that the film’s budget shot past the Rs 650 crore mark, leading to debate on the movie being declared a box office HIT. Well, Ranbir has opened up on the matter.

In an interview with Dainik Bhaskar, the actor claimed that the huge budget was not just for part 1 but the entire trilogy. He further revealed that since it was a VFX-oriented project, it required makers to invest in building assets that will also be used for future projects. ” The figures (for this film) that are floating around are wrong,” concluded Ranbir Kapoor.
Meanwhile, speaking of Brahmastra’s part 2 and 3, Ranbir told India Today that the team is eager to put out the next two films as soon as possible. The actor said, “The possibility of exploring the Astraverse is endless. There are multiple films that can be made on the history and universe of every Astra. So our plan as a team is to shoot both part 2 and part 3 together so that we don’t delay the films and they can be out in theatres as per the schedule.”

Brahmastra joins the club of Rs 200 crores
Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt’s starring, is setting fire on Box office. On day 10, the film successfully collected Rs 200 crores. The film earned Rs 75 crores worldwide on its opening day.
As per the trade reports, the film made a collection of Rs. 16.25 to 17.25 crores, taking the total collection to Rs 210 crore (approximately).
