Ranbir Kapoor and Yash to prepare for face-off in Ramayan

The first part of the Ramayan double-feature is complete, with the film now set for a Diwali 2026 release. Ranbir and Yash are gearing up for the spectacular face-off between Rama and Raavan at the climax.

The shooting of the first part of the Ramayan double-feature is complete. The film is now being readied for a Diwali 2026 release. This may sound like a very long time for the release date. But Ramayan is the kind of project in which the post-production and special effects would take longer to complete than the shooting itself.

According to sources, the shooting of not only the first part of the Ramayan but also the second part is nearly complete.

“Now what remains is the spectacular face-off between Rama and Raavan at the climax. For this, both Ranbir and Yash need to take off time for a particular body shape. The face-off will be shot separately at a time when both the superstars, who are busy with other projects, would be able to give the required time space,” says source in the know.

Interestingly, Yash as Raavan would make an entry at the end of Part 1 and then be seen all through Part 2.
