New Delhi: The Academy has asked Ram Charan, Jr NTR, MM Keeravaani, and Chandrabose to join, however RRR director SS Rajamouli has been left out. In other categories, director Mani Ratnam has been invited, as have DOP Senthil Kumar, Sabu Cyril, Karan Johar, and Siddharth Roy Kapur.

Meanwhile, SS Rajamouli recently attended the Academy Awards 2023, where RRR's Naatu Naatu received Best Original Song. He will soon begin production on SSMB 29, his first collaboration with Mahesh Babu. It's being billed as an adventure drama in the vein of Indiana Jones. SS Rajamouli has indicated interest in working in Hollywood as well. He did, however, add that he might have to work with someone to do this.
