New Delhi: The promotions of Aanand L Rai’s highly anticipated movie ‘Raksha Bandhan’ featuring Akshay Kumar is in full swing. After delivering the musical hit ‘Atrangi Re’, Akshay Kumar and Aanand L Rai has collaborated once again for ‘Raksha Bandhan’, gearing up to be a huge blockbuster.
The director-actor duo shares great camaraderie and holds huge respect and regards for each other. In fact, ever since the makers have unveiled the trailer of ‘Raksha Bandhan’, it has added to fans’ excitement. And now, the film is once again making the headlines as Akshay Kumar has heaped praises on the film’s producer Aanand L Rai.
Sharing his experience on collaborating with Aanand L Rai and the similarities between them, Akshay Kumar said, “If I were to describe Aanand sir, it would be a warm hug. That’s what being around him feels like. He’s someone who I feel is very honest and passionate about his craft. Hence, he won’t make you do something which isn’t being honest to the character of film.”
“What makes us click is that I feel we are very similar as people, simple living, love for food, can’t sit idle, even if it’s just Ludo, we play in our free time”, the superstar adds.

Music of ‘Raksha Bandhan’ has been composed by Himesh Reshammiya and lyrics are by Irshad Kamil. ‘Raksha Bandhan’ featuring Bhumi Pednekar, Akshay Kumar, Neeraj Sood, Seema Pahwa, Sadia Khateeb, Abhilash Thapliyal, Deepika Khanna, Smrithi Srikanth and Sahejmeen Kaur is all set to release on 11th August 2022.
