Popular Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda sustained severe injuries in a road accident on Saturday while traveling from Baddi to Shimla in Himachal Pradesh. He is currently being treated at Fortis Hospital, Mohali and has been showing positive signs of recovery, but misleading rumours about his health have been spreading on social media, and fellow artists have asked people not to share them.
Kanwar Grewal, the folk singer, shared a video from the hospital asking fans not to share unverified or negative rumours. He reassured viewers that Rajvir is being treated professionally and is recovering steadily, while also addressing posts with the hashtag #RIP, emphasizing that the singer is very much alive and fighting.

Earlier, an update from Fortis Hospital, Mohali, stated that Rajvir was referred there on 27th September and arrived at the Emergency Department at 1:45 PM in a very critical condition. He had severe head and spine injuries from the morning accident and also suffered a cardiac arrest at the Civil Hospital before being transferred.

Rajveer Jawanda started his music career in 2014 and became popular with his hit song “Kali Jawande Di.” Besides singing, he has acted in movies like Mindo Taseeldarni and Subedar Joginder Singh. Before joining the music industry, he worked in the Punjab Police. He now lives in Mohali with his family.
