New Delhi: Before becoming a superstar, actor Rajinikanth used to be a bus driver in Bangalore. Although he is an icon and inspiration but what makes him special is his simplicity.
On Tuesday, ‘Thalaiva’ made an unannounced visit to the Jayanagar bus station where he used to work. His white MUV stopped outside the warehouse door and Rajinikanth stepped out to see how his first workplace had changed since the 1970s.
Little did the warehouse doorman know was that one of India’s biggest movie stars was standing in front of him; all dressed in white! He did not realise it until one of the security guards took a closer look and exclaimed “Rajinikanth!”
Everything has changed!
Within minutes, the warehouse worker ran over to shake hands and take selfies. The actor is in the spotlight after his latest movie ‘Jailer’ burned through the box office.
Although the superstar does not talk much, he still greeted the staff with a bright smile, said the people close to him. Rajinikanth, whose name is Shivajirao Gaikwad, worked as a conductor for the Bangalore Transport Service (BTS) previously before entering the Tamil film industry in 1975.
