Rajkummar Rao, known for his versatile performances is stepping into a bold new role with Maalik, where he plays a fierce and ruthless gangster. The film has been in the buzz for a while and the film was all set to hit the theaters on June 20. But according to the media reports, to avoid competing with Aamir Khan’s Sitaare Zameen Par, the makers have now pushed the release date to July 11.
Rajkummar announced the update on Instagram by sharing a gripping poster that shows him standing on a police jeep, dressed in white and holding a gun, giving fans a glimpse of his menacing new avatar.
He shared the poster and wrote, “Raub, Rutba, aur RAJ hoga Maalik ka, 11 July se. Aa rahe hain #Maalik, 11 July se sirf cinemagharon mein.”

He has previously portrayed comic and romantic roles in films like “Bareilly Ki Barfi,” “Shadi Mein Zaroor Aana”, and “Chhalaang.” But with the upcoming film promising action, drama, and a strong storyline, Maalik is expected to be one of the most exciting releases this year.
Rajkummar Rao is awaiting the release of his upcoming film “Bhool Chuk Maaf,” starring Wamiqa Gabbi, directed by Karan Sharma and produced by Dinesh Vijan. The film is all set to hit the theatres on May 9.
