After the underwhelming box office performance of I Want To Talk, starring Abhishek Bachchan director Shoojit Sircar is set to bounce back with a two hero satirical comedy. And according to recent reports be Pinkvilla, Rajkummar Rao has been finalized as one of the leads, with casting for the second actor underway.
Pinkvilla quoted the insider,“Rajkummar Rao and Shoojit Sircar have been jamming about a probable collaboration for a while now, and the energies have finally aligned on this yet untitled satirical comedy. Rajkummar has given a go ahead to the script, with the intent of starting the shoot towards the end of 2025.”
Currently, Sircar is on the lookout for an opposite lead who complements Rao, “The brief is simple – a credible actor, with some comic timing. Shoojit also wants to work with secure people, who don’t interfere much in the process of filmmaking. Two-hero films are tricky, and it’s crucial to work with right energies. Shoojit has found Raj, who aligns with his sensibilities and the hunt for parallel lead is underway.”
Shoojit Sircar is known for his films like Piku, October, Vicky Donor, and Sardar Udham.

On the work front, Rajkummar Rao is all set for his romantic comedy Bhool Chuk Maaf for a theatrical release after a legal dispute with PVRInox.
Earlier, set to premiere directly on Amazon Prime Video due to tensions surrounding the ongoing India Pakistan conflict, the film faced immediate backlash from exhibitors demanding Rs 60 crore in damages for breach of contract. But in a recent development the court has now ruled in favor of the film’s theatrical release, and the film is all set to hit cinemas on May 23, 2025.
Directed by Karan Sharma, and produced by Dinesh Vijan under Maddock Films and Amazon MGM Studios. Rajkummar Rao as Ranjan and Wamiqa Gabbi as Titli Mishra are in the lead roles, where as, Seema Pahwa, Sanjay Mishra, Zakir Hussain, Raghubir Yadav, and Jay Thakkar are also playing key roles in the film.
