Rajinikanth touching feet of Yogi: Kollywood Thailava and Superstar Rajnikanth on Monday said that he is in a habit of touching the feet of ‘Yogi’, ‘Sanyasi’ and spiritual Guru regardless of that person’s age.

The actor’s comment came to light after the reporter’s query related to the controversy over the touching of the feet of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath during his visit to Lucknow.

The PTI reported that the actor touched the feet of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi out of respect and the actor clarified that touching the feet of Sanyasi and Yogi is a part of his culture and he follows this regardless of the age of that person. Yogi Adityanath is a Yogi and the actor was bowed in his respect.

The actor’s gesture of touching the feet of the Uttar Pradesh CM’s feet went viral on social media, especially in Tamil Naidu. The social media was flooded with comments. Many asked about the 72-year-old actor’s gesture to touch the feet of a much younger CM.

The superstar Rajnikanth thanked the people for making his latest movie ‘Jailer’s Grand success.
