On December 1, 2025, South Indian actress Samantha Ruth Prabhu married filmmaker Raj Nidimoru in a small, private ceremony at the Ling Bhairavi Temple inside Sadhguru’s Isha Yoga Centre in Coimbatore.
Samantha and Raj’s wedding created a lot of excitement, but it also led people online to wonder if Raj was still married to his ex-wife, Shyyamali De. After their wedding photos went viral, many started asking questions about his past relationship.
Samantha and Raj didn’t respond to the rumours, but Shyyamali finally shared her side through two emotional Instagram stories. She said she had been feeling drained for days and thanked everyone who showed her support. The kindness from so many people meant a lot to her during this difficult time.
Shyyamali said she spoke up because she couldn’t sleep and her mind was troubled. She felt it wouldn’t be right to ignore all the kindness people were sending her. She explained that meditation especially ‘Meditation on Twin Hearts’, which is about wishing peace and love for everyone has kept her calm and balanced while her personal life was being talked about online.
She also shared that she is dealing with everything by herself. She has no PR team or staff helping her, and every reply or message on her social media is written by her, even while she’s going through a very difficult time.
Samantha and Raj first worked together on The Family Man 2 in 2021, which was her first OTT project. They later teamed up for Citadel: Honey Bunny in 2024 and will appear together in the upcoming Netflix series Rakt Brahmand: The Bloody Kingdom.
Before marrying Raj, Samantha was previously married to actor Naga Chaitanya. The two wed in 2017 and announced their separation in 2021. Naga Chaitanya has since moved forward in his personal life and is now married to actress Sobhita Dhulipala.
