Ajay Devgn’s highly anticipated film Raid 2 released in theatres across India on May 1 and has made a strong impression on its opening day. Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta, the film is a sequel to Devgn’s 2018 blockbuster Raid and follows the journey of IRS officer Amay Patnaik. Let’s check its day 5 collection.
Box Office Collection Day 5
As per reports by Sacnilk, the film collected approximately earned around Rs. 21.50 Cr India net on its fourth day for all languages (early estimates) and on the fifth day the total collection of Raid 2 is around 79 crores net in 5 days, as the first 8-day week could hit the 100 crores mark which is fantastic. The positive word of mouth for the sequel along with Devgn’s fan following ensured that the film received a good head start.
The Powerhouse Behind Raid 2
Raj Kumar Gupta who was also the director of the first part of the film has continued his magic in the second part as well. The script has been written by Ritesh Shah, Karan Vyas and Jaideep Yadav providing the audience with a tale which is engaging and holds the audience to their seats. The movie is produced by leading producers Abhishek Pathak, Kumar Mangat Pathak, Bhushan Kumar, Gaurav Nanda, Krishan Kumar and Pragya Singh under the banner of Panorama Studios and T-Series Films.
New Cast And Characters
A major change in this second installment is the replacement of the lead actress Illeana D’Cruz with Vaani Kapoor. While details of her role still remain under wraps, fans are eager to see how she adds depth to the film’s narrative. Apart from this, Ritesh Deshmukh has joined the franchise. His portrayal of the villain is expected to bring a fresh and powerful conflict to the story.
