Qala Trailer: The makers of Netflix’s original drama Qala have unveiled its trailer on November 16. The psychological thriller features Irrfan Khan’s son Babil Khan and Tripti Dimri in the lead roles.

The trailer begins with Tripti Dimri standing in front of a mic, with the spotlight on her. A voiceover asks: “Do you like music?” To which she replies, “I hate it.” Her life and career as a singer goes smooth until a singer named Jagan (played by Babil Khan) enters her life, shattering her self-confidence. He is described as a “maestro” by his peers.

The story of Qala revolves in 1940s Kolkata, Qala chronicles the complicated relationship between a young singer and her mother. Will all her sacrifices be worth the success she gets?

Qala is a psychological drama film which started trending on social media as soon as its trailer came out. This film has been directed by ‘Anvita Dutt’. Anvita has earlier made the horror film ‘Bulbul’ which was released on Netflix. This film was also well-liked and now it is all set to rock the screen again. Fans are eager to see the acting of Irrfan Khan’s son in the film.

Apart from Babil and Tripti, the movie also features Swastika Mukherjee, Amit Sial, Abhishek Banerjee in important roles.

The film will stream on Netflix on December 1.
