Pushpa 2 Trailer Launch: The trailer launch event of the much-awaited film Pushpa: The Rule at Gandhi Maidan in Patna took a dramatic turn on Sunday evening as fans clashed with security personnel. More than 10,000 fans gathered in the jam-packed Gandhi Maidan to catch a glimpse of Telugu Superstar Allu Arjun and actress Rashmika Mandanna.

A stampede-like situation developed at one point with police resorting to ‘mild’ lathi charge as fans managed to breach the barricades and other structures to get closer to the stars.

Videos circulating on social media platforms showed many fans climbing on structures at Gandhi Maidan during the event. To bring the situation under control, the Police resorted baton charges to manage the massive crowd.

Crowd Hurls Slippers At Police

Tension escalated after some fans from the crowd reportedly threw slippers and other stuff at the security forces as they tried to stop them from getting too close to the stage. The crowd’s action led to an immediate response from the authorities in a bid to avert it from escalating further.

Police Confirm Everything Was Under Control

Patna SSP Rajeev Mishra was quoted by E-Times as saying, “Only a group of people who had come to watch the event and tried to cross the barricade were removed. An adequate number of security personnel have been deployed at Gandhi Maidan.” Despite the disruption, police officials confirmed the situation has been brought under control.

Social Media Reaction

Reacting to the chaotic videos circulating online, a user wrote, “Dear Indians: The issues are Unemployment, Price rise, Taxes, National debt, PSU sale, etc. Not Pushpa-2 or actors.”

Another user hilariously commented, “Bihar is not for the beginners.” A third remarked, “That’s why Education is necessary.” A fourth wrote, “And if this structure (which not made to hold so many people’s weight) collapses then blame Government for poor management.”
