Allu Arjun has been hitting the headlines due to his latest release ‘Pushpa 2’. Despite being a massive blockbuster, the movie has been surrounded by controversies after a woman died due to a stampede in the theatre during its screening. The actor was also arrested in connection to the woman’s death but got interim bail. Telangana DGP Jitender recently addressed the stampede death case and reflected on how the safety and security of the citizens are important.
While addressing the stampede death controversy, Telangana DGP Jitender said, “We have nothing personally against Allu Arjun or any individual. The promotion of film is not as important as the safety of people. They are heroes in films but on the ground also they should understand the problems of society.”
Some protesters recently vandalised Allu Arjun’s house in Hyderabad and demanded Rs 1 crore for the victim’s family. The video of the protesters outside the actor’s residence has been going viral.
Meanwhile, Allu Arjun earlier penned a note on X and urged his fans not to resort to any sort of abusive behaviour. He also shared that a strong action will be taken against those, who will indulge in abusive behaviour. He wrote, “I appeal to all my fans to express their feelings responsibly, as always, and not resort to any kind of abusive language or behavior both online and offline. Misrepresenting as my fans with fake IDs and fake profiles, if someone indulges in abusive posts, strong action will be taken against them. I request the fans not to engage with such posts.”
Talking about Pushpa 2, the movie also stars Rashmika Mandanna and Fahadh Faasil in the lead roles. It has become a huge success at the box office and crossed Rs 1000 crore mark as well.
