Pushpa 2 Stampede Case: Allu Arjun has been embroiled in a controversy after a woman died at Sandhya theatre during his visit. The actor was recently questioned in this case after being released from jail on interim bail. According to News18, Hyderabad police have issued a strict warning against spreading false information and misleading videos on social media.
Talking about the viral videos, the police reportedly said that some people have shared false videos of the incident online. “We will take strict action if anyone posts false information or misleading videos on social media regarding the Sandhya Theater stampede incident. It has come to our attention that some people have posted false videos that suggest that the stampede took place before Allu Arjun arrived,” Hyderabad Police was quoted as saying by News18.
“The police department has already put the facts known in the course of the investigation into this incident in the form of a video before the public. However, it has come to our attention that some people have deliberately posted some videos on social media that were created to mislead people and that the stampede took place before Arjun arrived. We will take legal action against those who deliberately spread such false propaganda while the case is being investigated,” the police added.
Moreover, the actor’s house was recently vandalised by some protesters. His father Allu Aravind reacted to this incident and said, “Everyone has seen what happened at our house today. But it is time for us to act accordingly. Now is not the right time for us to react to anything.” He added, “The police are ready to take away anyone else who comes here to create a ruckus. No one should encourage incidents like these. But I will not react just because the media is here. Now is the time to practice restraint. The law will take its own course.”
Allu Arjun earlier announced the donation of Rs 25 lakh to the victim’s family, whereas, the producers of ‘Pushpa 2’ donated Rs 50 lakh.
