Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Pushpa 2 has become the highest-grossing Indian film of 2024, according to industry tracker Sacnilk. Directed by Sukumar, the action-drama achieved this feat by crossing the Rs. 1,000 crore benchmark on its 7th day, making it the fastest Indian movie to do so.
The phenomenal success of Pushpa 2 positions it to challenge SS Rajamouli’s epic Baahubali 2: The Conclusion, which remains the second-highest-grossing Indian film globally. While Baahubali 2 took 10-11 days to reach Rs. 1,000 crore, Pushpa 2 achieved this milestone in just 7 days, setting a new record.
On its 8th day, Pushpa 2 grossed Rs. 37.9 crore in India, despite a slight drop of 12.57% compared to previous days. Its cumulative domestic collection now stands at approximately Rs. 726.25 crore net.
